Remaining Schedule for the upcoming 2027 Season will be a national game in Texas.
The Joplin Crusaders have won 13th League Championship titles in 28 seasons as a semi pro football organization. The Joplin Crusaders finished the 2026 CMFL season will an overall record of 8-3. The Joplin Crusaders coasted through most of the season with a light roster due to injuries but kept finding a way to win week in and week out. Even though they didn’t win it this season, lost 2 games in regular season by a touchdown in each game. Wild to think if some of their key players don’t get hurt what would have been in store for them would have been another Championship season being crowned CMFL Champions. But it wasn’t in the cards, the Joplin Crusaders fell short in the playoffs losing to the OKC Bears who went on to win the CMFL Championship. The Joplin Crusaders played well for a young, reloaded team this season under the leadership of their dynamic QB Aason Cross who Coach Sturgis says, “he plays Johnny Football style ball. I am excited to see him grow with our organization and to build around him as I know he will change the league once he reaches full potential. His leadership and ability to read the field quickly once things break down allows him to take over games himself, I love this kid and I wish I had a team full of players like him as it would make our jobs easier. I hope to see him grow a little more in the leadership column this off season.
If you are interested in coming to join the hard hitting fun as a player or a coach feel free to reach out to Coach Dylan Mills or Coach Sam Sturgis. You can reach the team the following ways.
